Used a realtor from Sun at this location to purchase a new home. That realtor recommended we use Citizens Bank mortgage which was at that time located in Kitty Hawk and we used Drew Wright at Citizens who was the worst. Citizens has since closed down locally and is a horrible unresponsive and poorly managed mortgage company. Fair warning, do not get suggestions on local lenders from realtors here. Do your homework so you get the best deal and the best rates. Also, Im a vet who used a VA loan and the closing company they used (Innes and Innes in Moyock who is also the worst and a very cocky attorney) charged me realtor commission which is not allowed by law to be charged in any state for a VA buyer.

Employees are very responsive and courteous. I spoke with Alex and Vivian while on my trip. Both of these ladies are top notch. They are an asset to Sun Realty. Sun Realty is my choice when renting a condo or house at Kill Devil Hills.

Must say we are extremely happy with Sun Realty, staff and website. This is our third consecutive year at this one level home which is ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

Our friends rented the cottage Opportunity Knocked on Opportunity Lane in Kitty Hawk. It was not a good experience for any of us, but it was especially bad for the dogs. A pet friendly rental agency should assure the property is vermin free; that was not the case. There were fleas everywhere., so many that the dogs became very ill and had to be taken to the vet. This added over $100 to the pet fee of $180.00. The general state of cleanliness was deplorable-the floors and the furniture had not been thoroughly cleaned in some time. There was a dead cockroach in the downstairs bathroom. Then there are the cheap mattresses and linens. In the bedroom with bunk beds, you can feel the underlying bed rails through the night. Add to that the kitchen-worn out pots and pans and bakeware. an oven with a door that would not fully close, and one, just one threadbare dish towel. If I had been provided an opportunity to leave less than 1 star I would have done so. You should certainly reimburse the renters, at the very least for the added expense of a pet-friendly fee and the vet bill.
