Best Western Plus Huntersville Inn & Suites Near Lake Norman

I replied to questionnaire from hotel. I didn't give them a very good rating and I didn't say anything bad. I just pointed out the obvious; smoke alarm was missing main component and no blow dryer. Here is their response. I'll take their advice. From Aaron, the operations manager. First room had fridge missing, 2nd room was good. First night desk worker was OK, 2nd night desk worker was awesome, friendly, and personable. First night I think it was full, hard to find parking,

We arrived late in the evening after a long drive & Reception was warm & friendly. The remainder was not so good. The bed had craters from being worn out & I was forced to sleep sideways at the foot of the bed for even support. The breakfast buffet had tired & hard scrambled eggs stuck to the pan, & were overly salted. Biscuits were over-warmed with rock-hard bottoms. Once I tried the watery coffee I completely gave up & left. So two hours of sleep & a morning meal in the garbage leaves a bitter taste from our stay. Rooms: We stayed in Room 208 if management wants to deal with the poor quality mattress.

4 men working from out of town in one room you can imagine & there was ZERO room service for a solid week! None! Every hotel Ive ever been to has house keeping. There was no do not disturb sign so that wasnt the reason. Low water pressure took 30 min to take a shower. Had to carry own garbage out. Washer and dryer out of order. 1st room toilet wouldnt flush and no microwave. So had to change rooms. Had to go to the desk to get toilet paper. Only 2 towels and 1 wash rag 1 face towel. Had to go get more. Had to go get sheets because they were starting to get funky. No chairs to sit in. Kitchen area for breakfast all covers to cover hot food hinges were busted and fell off. I am assuming it was the owner (Indian) was outside hollering arguing with the maintenance man infront of everyone. Instead of doing so in private. I will never stay here or recommend them again! And they were not the cheapest hotel either! I give one star so it will post the review. The only thing ok about this entire thing was it was on a decent location.

Internet would not work. Lamp electric sockets between beds didnt work. Lamp socket on desk did not work. I used a socket on the wall and it sparked. Talked to front desk they said nothing they could do probably due to rain. Talked to manager the next day. He said he would make sure to adjust my total before he left that day. Checked out the next day. Manager did not credit anything and wouldnt answer call from front desk worker when I asked her to call. She left him a note and still nothing has been done. Disappointed to say the least. Both employees were nice but saying you are going to fix something and then not makes me think it was just an act. Rooms: Lamp outlets did not work. Desk outlets did not work. Wall outlet sparked. No internet. Was told due to rain. Hotel is on a huge slop and side parking was dark. Safety: On a slop. Side parking was dark back and other side was lit. Walkability: Not with that slop and construction. Food & drinks: Breakfast did not get replished the last hour. Noteworthy details: Lots of construction. Hotels is on a steep slop. No internet. Electric outlets didnt work on lamps or desk. Wall outlet sparked. Manager said he would credit some of my bill but did not.
