Brookdale High Point

Don't sent anyone you care about to Brookdale on Hartley drive. Patients who are bed ridden and can not even feed themselves have falls. Always at night. Falls may or may not be reported to family and investigations are dismissed as an accident. Falls resulting in broken bones , concussions and laceration with multiple bruises are common. Residents are afraid of staff. Staff do not answer calls or return messages. Sometimes they will not answer the door for visitors.

We needed a place for mom to stay while we flew out of state for a week. Mom specifically asked if we could write a review someplace because she really enjoyed her stay. The staff was friendly and caring. The food was excellent, she said, and there were plenty of activities.

If I could leave a 0 star I most certainly would. This place is crooked. If youre looking to put one of your loved ones in a facility, do yourself a favor and do NOT put them at this place. Its sickening how the management works, very crooked people.

Horrible place to be. Sent here after a fall. No medical treatment offered. Never saw a doctor. Nurse by appointment only. Staff too busy setting around talking instead of helping with patient care. Crying and moaning patients ignored. The only activity I saw was coloring preprinted pictures from a coloring book. Food repetitive and heated from cans. No help with showering, dressing or exercise. No place to set or exercise outdoors. Stay away from this facility.

I would have to say the med Tech on second shift is awesome and my mother loves her. The only problem I have is the ED, and HWD they really need to be replaced. They are not the right fit for this place and they are not knowledgeable. The staff dont seem to happy because they dont feel respected by them. The food is not good at all. I do have to say the care is excellent on second shift. Overall the place is not to bad, but it would be a great place if the management would change. Happy staff make a world of a different when it comes to patient care. My mom do like so I will let her remain there. I just hope management changed.
