My son has been a patient with the 2nd fl outpatient for a few years now. Originally everything started off a bit rough due to the front desk staff and their unprofessional behavior towards patients. Ive had to speak with the Director in the past due to my sons appointments being changed without notification being issued. Since COVID, my son has been doing video/phone visits for his medication management which has been working out very well for him so he does not have to interact with the front desk staff. Most recently he was told that he would have to have an in office visit and it was scheduled for 1pm today. I put all of his appointments on my calendar so that he is informed of when they are scheduled. I traveled over an hour to pick up my son and bring him into the office for the appointment, he even arrived 30 mins early. When he arrived he was told after waiting for a bit, that they were at lunch. Shortly after that he was told that his appointment was supposed to be at 4pm and that they can set him up tor a video appointment so he wont have to come back into the office. So #1- why did you insist he come into the office in the first place if you were now going to set him up for a video appointment anyway. #2-He attempted to connect to the video appointment but kept getting an error message, so when he tried to call into the front desk multiple times (well over 30 minutes), no one would answer the phone, so they put him as a no show. I even attempted to try to reach the front desk and was also unable to get anyone to answer after trying multiple times.
These are the types of shenanigans that he has been dealing with in the past with the front desk staff which causes him great anxiety and is why he preferred the phone or video appointments originally so that he does not have to interact with the front desk staff and all their shenanigans and unprofessional treatment towards him.
When a patient is already dealing with mental health issues, it is a trigger when you treat them in the manner in which my son has been treated multiple times. There is no integrity or respect being given at all.
I have left a voice message on the front desk line, the nurse line, and responded back to the no show notification in his my chart, requesting to speak with the Director yet again regarding this unprofessional treatment and shenanigans are that is the front desk staff.
NOTE: The medical staff (ie: Physicians, Nurses), are highly professional and he has never had any issues with the back office staff at all.

From the very beginning I have had nothing but good experiences with Come Health. My therapist and prescribing physician and the staff have been wonderful to work with. Its best to note that any medical service you use, please remember that they are also humans doing a job. Give them time and patience to do it, and theyll gladly do all that they can as soon as they can.
