Just moved out 2 weeks ago now. Move in process went smooth and everything started out well for about a month, then it all went downhill. For starters we called at least 2 times a month about smelling pot within our unit and outside. Management said there was nothing they could do and to call the non emergency 911 number. Pipes in the walls were never properly secured therefore there is an obnoxious rattle every time someone uses water. As others have said you hear everything in your apartment and no one respects each other. As for the community as a whole. The complex allows smoking cigarettes anywhere and found tons of them in the dog park. Other residents dont know how to handle their animals or pick up after them. As well they allow restricted breeds at the complex and allow staff to breed said restricted breeds. Car wash was stated to be up and running within a couple of months, but took about 6. All there is, is a hose and a vacuum. Lastly as far as moving out, we never got any information as to what was expected of us at move out. When we moved in we were told as long as we fill any holes in the walls we were not getting charged. Upon moving out we were charged for several damages that we were told we wouldnt have received. We are being charged a fee for workers coming and going out of the apartment ripping a couple of command strips we forgot to take off. In addition the workers got the carpet covered in dirt then tried to blame it on us. I contacted the front office and was sent photos. These photos was after the workers have been in there prepping it for someone else, and 90% of the damages shown was simple paint work and damage that was caused by them. All in all, this was one of the worst complexs I have ever lived in and should not be classified as luxury living. Theres nothing luxury about them. Grey star should take a closer look at who they allow to run their complexs as well as the tenants they allow in them. My best advice to you is to move to another complex in a better area and save your money. Hopefully in the future they will turn the complex around.
