Please know you have to have an appointment or the guard will not let you through and is stern on that. She did let me through since I was just coming to pay a balance but other than that you may not have much luck. I had an issue I needed resolved with the IRS and Miguel from cubicle 4 was an absolute star. He was really nice, good at explaining things, helped my husband and I with our issues and got things resolved quickly. The office is very quiet, seems clean and everyone seems to be nice. The guard however was a bit rude and didnt seem to have patience over anything.

The lady that helped me was actually very nice HOWEVER.... I was really taking back the way she literally yelled at people who's waiting in the lobby when they didn't respond immediately after she called their name or asked questions. People are already upset and even scared in some cases when visiting the IRS so the last thing they need is someone being rude towards them. As a retired law enforcement officer I learn very early in my career that "You never know what kind of day a person may have had prior to making contact with them" That's why it's always wise to be kind and professional towards people even when you are in a position of authority. It wouldn't hurt for them (employees) to receive some sort of training on how to better interact with customers. After all they're only there to receive help, not to be treated and spoken to like inmates.

This building is against small business owners and have illegitimate practices (that arent company procedures that they should go by) These employees are only concerned with giving misleading information just to simply get you to leave them alone. If theres any place North Carolina should get rid of this place should be first on the list. Im sorry you hate your job but from gov worker to gov worker just do your jobs its what your supposed to do.
