Thanks for your comment. We are sorry that you had a less than desirable experience with our service. After reviewing your file, this is what we found:
1) Not only did you pay for an ITIN application, but also to prepare 2 years of your taxes. That being said, we submitted an application to file your taxes and get an ITIN for your children.
2) In your comment you said that you came 3 times and received no response from us and that is simply not true. The first time (4/6/22) you came we told you that the application was within the processing times and to contact us if you did not receive your ITIN by June. On the second occasion (4/18/22) you came and brought a letter from the IRS. In that letter, the IRS requested proof of residency for your children. We send this documentation by certified mail. In June he came in and asked the ITIN status and demanded a refund. The reason a refund was not granted was because we did our part and are not responsible for IRS processing times. We tried calling the IRS on his behalf but the IRS phone line was busy. The third time he called our office and told us he received a letter from the IRS. We asked him to bring that letter and he never did. You never spoke to us after that. We are calling you today to follow up and ask that you send us a copy of the letter so we can help you get the result you are looking for.
3) Every time you came to our office to ask what was going on with your ITIN application and taxes, we did everything we could to help you. When you brought letters, we reviewed them with you and explained what was needed to respond to the letters. The cost of ITIN applications is generally non-refundable; However, if the IRS denies an ITIN application, we will resubmit the application the following year at no additional cost to you. At no point did you ask us to do that, however, I will offer it to you for next tax season if you decide to work with us during the 2023 tax season.
What happened with your tax and ITIN application is very unfortunate and not typical of what happens to our clients when dealing with the IRS, however, once we submit these applications, it is in the hands of the IRS. We apologize for the stress and inconvenience this has caused you, however, I would like to reiterate my offer to resubmit your ITIN application at no additional cost. This offer only applies to ITIN application, not tax preparation. Thanks for your comment.
