Crawl Space Reno was organized and detailed. The job was well planned and anything that came up was handled by Michael. I would use his expertise at any other project where I need foundation advice. All his subcontractors were excellent.

Mike and his SFR team were amazing from start to finish! SFR was one of three firms recommended by the structural engineer we hired to correct over-spanning issues we had for a sinking foundation, settling floors and cracked walls. Mike had previously corrected similar issues for the engineer at his house. SFR worked closely with us to discover, thoroughly understand and remediate our structural issues. Moreover, Mike uncovered emerging mold issues due to elevated moisture in our crawl space. Thus, we hired SFR to both remediate the structural issues and install the Atmox 2.0 - Moisture Control and Monitoring System to intelligently ventilate our crawl space along to with a back-up commercial grade dehumidifier. Our wood moisture sensor reads 6.6% now (see photo) as I write this review, down from 12.0% when Mike first entered our crawl space in January. After the structural remediation was done the engineer returned to re-inspect our crawl space and certified that the new structural support system was sound and completed in accordance with his engineering plan. SFR did the structural and moisture control work in slightly over 2 weeks once the engineers plan for structural repairs was completed. Mike is backed up by Shelby at the office and she scheduled and coordinated every step of our project seamlessly. SFR worked tirelessly on our behalf. They under-promised and over-delivered. They were a blessing to us. PS: We hired a flawed structural remediation firm in 1998 to address foundation settling in our kitchen which was a failure and only addressed a small fraction of our over-spanning/lack of adequate pier issues. At that time, we did not know enough to hire a structural engineer to uncover and address our entire problem and lead us to Mike and SFR.

This was one of the best interactions that I've had with a company. Called the company not knowing anyone in the area who could do a foundation inspection, and Michael took my call. He listened carefully to my description of what I was seeing in the house, asked several questions to fill in the gaps of my explanation and then talked with me for several minutes about the different possibilities for causes and what the various solutions for each potential cause might be. He scheduled an in-home visit for two days later and was both punctual and cordial. He walked through the house, allowing me to show him the symptoms I was seeing. When he was ready to inspect the crawlspace under the house, I asked if I could join him to see what he saw and he was kind enough to lend me a pair of gloves and knee pads. He explained what he was seeing as we crawled under the house and was thorough in his assessment of the supporting structure. Afterward, he spoke with me at length and was very helpful. There is no one else I would call before Specialty.
