I am a Veteran Sgt. Of the United States Marines. This has by far been a terrible experience to work with this builder after signing the purchase agreement. The contractors for electrical and HVAC that they used to build my house have gone out of business. Ive. Had electrical fire and a HVac unit that is blowing non stop heat above 100 degrees. This has cost me damages they are unresponsive to address these issues . I would warn other interested in purchasing through Graywolf as you will likely encounter issues in your home.

BUYER BEWARE! This review is way overdue! My fianc signed a contract approximately two years ago for a new home in Avery Meadows, Smithfield NC. We saw the models and fell in love with the design, layout, and location of our new home. We were thrilled to start our new journey as a married couple. There was a price increase of $5,000 at the time and we did accept as we felt we had no options, since our wedding was in a few months. Gray Wolf Homes decided to stop construction on all homes. We were contacted one day after we signed contract and informed that all contracts were on hold until further notice. We asked will Gray Wolf Homes honor the original contract in the near future. She dodged the question. She said that there are no major changes but she will keep us posted very soon. Few weeks later we were contacted by Gray Wolf Homes basically saying that none of the floorplans have changed just a few modifications were made. In other words they will not grant our original contract! They removed all features included in original contract and if we wanted these features it will cost us in excess of $20,000!!! They breached the contract! Gray Wolf Homes is a shady, deceitful, and unethical company with no integrity whatsoever and is not worthy of our money! We were very disappointed, distraught and deceived!! Reading previous reviews it is evident that Gray Wolf Homes lacks integrity and professionalism in construction startup, project management, customer service, craftsmanship, quality control, and warranty! In addition there are many complaints of unhappy customers who reported them to BBB rating them 1 out of 5 stars. Customers should not be treated in this manner. BUYER BEWARE GRAY WOLF HOMES IS NOT A RELIABLE COMPANY, THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE LOOKING TO BUILD A NEW HOME. HENCE WE DECIDED NOT TO PURCHASE A HOME FROM THEM. 030524

I wish I could give zero stars. Our whole neighborhood has issues. We have been in this house for a year and a half and the walls are cracking, floor is dipping, plaster from the ceiling is falling apart, drawers are broken and have fallen in, baseboards separating from floor, our kitchen counter has separated about a 1/2 inch from the wall, doors get stuck, and our septic tank concrete box has breached the surface of the grass because it was so shallow, and around it the ground is sinking in. We lost out on a good interest rate from the start because they took 6 months over what they originally told us the closing date would be. We didnt get a tree in the front like promised. I have a street light IN MY FRONT YARD close to the house that goes on our electric bill. The good reviews im convinced are done prior to closing or are paid.

I did purchased a property from Gray Wolf Homes. There were lots of issues with the property. The landscaping of the backyard was never taken care off before closing, lots of weeds and shrubs. They did a very poor job with the drainage in the front of the house. Water sits in the crawl space and the front yard of the house for days when it rains. The foundation has cracks on the left and right sides of the house. The post at the back of the house have cracks and holes and they refused to fix any of these things. A person does not buy a new property and have to fix all of these things. I've been ripoff here. I've complained and nothing has been done. They did not honored the eleven months warranty. I had to pay out of pocket to repair stuffs. They have no integrity! Buyers BEWARE! Service: Home building

Update 2023: Review of other potential homeowners, confirms the lack of integrity this company has. BUYER BEWARE ! Unexpected turn of events. I signed a contract for a new home build with Graywolf homes (Avery Meadows) in mid December 2021 . Keep in mind that there was a $5000 increase that was mentioned, despite the increase that I accepted, I was ready to move forward on home purchase. Realtor contacted me next day stating that all contracts were put on hold until early January. I expressed my displeasure with the way it was being addressed, and asked will the contract be upheld in the coming weeks. Fast forward , recently was contacted regarding GrayWolf Home . "The pricing & options have been adjusted so we are rolling everything out new as a fresh start. None of the floorplans have changed, only modifications made ". These modifications included an additional $20000 dollars approx, and removal of feautures that were included in original contract and floor plan. In my opinion , this was an uncrupulous action, and my original contract should have been signed and accepted in early December. Company made the decision to put dollars over relationship. Leaving me with doubts as to how I would be treated longterm as the process of the build moved forward. What would have transpired to those new homes in process and their owners ? What would've been priority for Gray Wolf .....$$$ or Customers?? Looking at previous reviews, it is supported that Customer Satisfaction is not a priority. Responses such as "We dont see you as a previous customer..." are common, but there are reviews that are legitimate, and support the lack of customer satisfaction that Gray Wolf seems to lack. Moving forward, I do not recommend GrayWolf Homes, and am not purchasing a home with them.
