I worked at Briar creek for a little over a month. The third floor is disgusting, floors not being cleaned or the resident bathroom. These are dementia residents so you never know what different stains are. The administrator is a very nasty and a liar. I never cared for the job for santation reasons but when they started lying I had to leave. These ppl pay thousands of dollars to live there and can't sit at a clean table without stains from last week. I can go on and on.

I would give a zero if I could. My mother was considering Briar Creek but had not signed a lease. She paid $1000 refundable deposit and wrote another check for over 9K. We were told the second check would not be cashed until the lease was signed. Over two months later we are still out $10k plus. Numerous emails and still no check. Seniors are on a fixed income and this is absolutely outrageous.

I love the clean facility and the coworkers here are the best!!.The rooms are spacious and well lit by the open windows. Anthony is great whenever there is a problem or issue, he handles it promptly. This is a great place to live.

Previous reviews state that Briar Creek is a beautiful, state of the art facility. This is absolutely true. This is one of the reasons we chose this facility for my family member. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and modern. The physical therapist was very helpful and I would say he did well with helping my sisters rehab. The Nutritionist was very helpful. He helped my sister with eating, pureed her food when she was having trouble getting the food down and even heated the food up for her when the food was delivered cold. The main reason for this review is the staffing concerns and I hope that this review is read and discussed with EVERY nurse at this facility for coaching and development. The facility appeared to be short-staffed, requests from my sister took hours to be addressed and a handful of nurses may need more training! My sister could not walk so she needed assistance to the bathroom. On several occasions, a couple of nurses stated to my sister (after showing up hours after the call), you didnt need to use the bathroom. I dont like when patients say have to go and dont! Also, I prefer not using this machine. I have to get another nurse to help me to get you to the bathroom. A patient that is not well and is suffering from their illness does not need to hear this kind of verbiage. It only lessens their motivation, their drive and will to live. My sister started to feel like she was a burden. Your job responsibility is to HELP and ASSIST every and any patient, regardless of how much work it is, and you are not supposed to talk down to any patient. This are the minimum requirement of the job! My sister fell out of bed (probably trying to get HERSELF to the bathroom) and had several heart attacks as a result of the trauma and expired shortly thereafter. Again, there were several good nurses at this facility and the facility is beautiful, but the handful of employees that broke my sisters will to live is why I wrote this review. I hope that Briar Creek takes this review seriously and makes the necessary staffing changes.
