I will start with the good. Imani was an excellent technician. I am very impressed by her skills and hospitality. I havent been able to get the eye poofer machine accurately done in several years, but she was successful! Also, the establishment has a vast selection of glasses in many different styles which is very nice. Unfortunately, the good was short-lived. For their tele-optometry services, they have a tv screen with your name and birth gender. You can see the first and last name and birth gender of the other patients who are waiting in the queue. I find this wildly inappropriate, incompetent, and dangerous for transgender clientele. This system outs patients to other patients, which is bad in and of itself. I spoke with the manager to which they responded that other people have complained and legal says that its fine, but that theyll look into it further. Too little too late. Due to the fact that other people have complained and have been ignored, and that they think its okay because legal says they wont be sued is appalling. Its important for medical establishments to prioritize privacy for all clientele, including transgender clients. This Visionworks should immediately review and update its privacy policies to ensure that all patients, including transgender individuals, are afforded the same level of privacy and respect. I will not be returning due to their disrespectful policies and practices.
