Collegian Hotel & Suites, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

When we checked in, the toilet was inoperable and we called housekeeping. This was at 1:45 and they said they would send someone up at 2 and we said we would be gone but please come in. We got back to the hotel at 8 and the toilet had not been fixed. A maintenance person had to replace all the parts in the toilet. And its still barely working/wont flush and running nearly constantly. The room temp is 76 and despite changing the setting to cool it has not gone down and the hvac unit sounds like a broken car muffler. I actually made a video for the sound. This may be one of the worst hotel stays I have had in a long time. This is not a 4 star Wyndham by any stretch.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location- walk or shuttle anywhere Rooms: Rooms were spotless and a great size. Air in room was very clean.

Where to start...check in was easy. We arrived late, so were happy that we could get checked in and to our room easily. The night clerk was friendly but not knowledgeable about any events in the area for the total eclipse(the reason for our stay). The next morning we decided to check about a shuttle and go to the on site restaurant for breakfast. I will be leaving a separate review on that but let it be known they were understaffed and very slow. On the way in, one of the day receptionists was exiting, screaming in her phone and using the "f" word. Not exactly the most professional impressions. When we asked about a shuttle, we were told no one was scheduled. Why? Most of your travelers are here for the eclipse. Then we asked about events, parking and glasses. The person knew nothing, but did give us a pair of sunglasses. We went back to our room after breakfast to get ready for the day. We had a king room in the Mayflower building. The halls and housekeeping staff smelled like marijuana. We left the sign for no maid service. The bathroom was big but the toilet was made for a small child and the shower did not have slip resistant strips. The bed was on the soft side and pillow were horrible. The air did work well. There was a desk and chest of drawers. The tv was large but had spotty reception that gave us a headache. We decided to enjoy a snack and a glass of wine in the lobby. We asked the restaurant for 2 glasses and the girl said she could not allow glasses to be taken into the lobby. Why? This is not a 4 star response but we are now getting use to the lack of service and helpfulness. Since we would not go back to the restaurant due to our morning experience, we went out for dinner. Guess what, still no shuttle and had to pay for parking again. When checking out I asked about a refund for the parking do to the inconvenience and was denied because the shuttle is not guaranteed. Forget that there were people parked in the lot who did not have hotel tags. Forget about good customer service. We are Wyndham reward members and are used to better service and accommodations. I cannot recommend this location based on our substandard experience.
