Cooperative Federal (Erie Blvd. E. Office)

You will run into some issues seeing as this is the smallest you can get for a credit union. That's a bummer, sure. What isn't a bummer is knowing that this is as local as it gets. This doesn't fund wars. Your money is safe and protected like any other bank but it is a community bank. Can the staff be hard sometimes to deal with? Maybe. Worth it. It isn't one of the big banks that use your money against your better interest. It is a bank with heart and values. Worth the small inconveniences and definitely a staple of the community.

Not customer service driven. Cumbersome website and app. Limited hours even shorter on Weds so they can have staff meetings. Very pushy loan officers. Not supported by Plaid if you are looking to link your account with other financial companies: many mortgage, credit card companies, investment companies, etc. Better credit unions are out there. A big disappointment.

Terrific experience overall! Applied for a personal loan, first online. Then I got a quick phone call only a day later, with other timely follow ups. Easy application process with secure documents exchanged. Closing in person, in their new building (nice place!): customer service was fun and friendly throughout. Ultimately: interest rate on the loan was lowest around and with no "origination fee". Bottom line: highly recommended.
