Ive been going here since May, and since my first visit..I have not regretted my decision to see the doctors in this office. Dr.Benson,Dr Shatz, Dr Meleyka all so good. They literally LISTENED to every concern I had, I felt heard. Bedside manners are great. They know there stuff. Meridith is a sweetheart, Joyce is fabulous. Ive had pretty good encounters with reception, no issues. The nurse that fills the paperwork out so sweet and attentive. Id recommend this practice.

The doctors are great, the receptionists are unbelievably nasty. My wife is carrying our first baby and they cause her unbelievable stress and unease.

I just went for my first well woman exam as a new patient in this office, due to working from home no longer go to Manhattan with Weill Cornell. I was there for routine gynecological exam, said it with the front desk, wrote on the registration paper and told Dr. Shats in the exam room. Guess what, they do not do blood work, no problem got the Quest tests order to do it at Quest. Only to notice on the test order the Dx coded with N95.1 (Menopause symptoms) what??? I am still on my cycle and even got birth control Rx from Dr Shats.. Immediately called back, spoke to the office front desk, I was told this is the Dx code the Doctor used, but i am not on Menopause, next thing I was told to use N92.6 (irregular mense) is diagnostic coding a game with this office? confused, I am well and normal, did not report any abnormalities...the routine exam Dx on the lab order should be Z01.419, why wouldn't the office just code it correctly?? no Idea! Randomly picking a Dx code would be sure to mess up my claim. I understand insurance and only did routine exam every year, my plan only covers 100% wellness exam, other sick visits go to deductible, why is it so hard to do a wellness exam and get a correct wellness exam charges? Not sure how billing went for other patients, for me a simple wellness exam has turned to a disaster to begin with. I was really shock and upset to deal with a doctor office with doctors have no knowledge or ideas to do billing. oh one more thing, the front desk had absolutely no knowledge on the concerns I called about and showed an attitude with everything was my fault: I ordered the tests-my issue if my insurance does not pay. Also argued about STD screenings are not usually of women routine exam, I couldn't explain to her what I know about because she talked back, cut me off and would not listen, The US Preventive care task force guidelines are online including all recommended routine covered screenings ..and of the lab test I did in the office submitted using their random dx code certainly would not be considered preventive. The front desk said don't worry about, if the insurance does not pay, it is my responsibility to pay!!!! Great, sounds completely an ignorant person who had no compassion or acknowledged what i was talking about. and am I be responsible for false charges resulting from inaccurately billing? absolutely not... Will not recommend for anyone who has a health plan with high deductible, absolutely crazy practice with the office bills whatever they want. Updated: Spoke with billing and office manager and the Dr, finally got someone on the phone had knowledge and were on the same page. Canceled the Quest lab tests, definitely a headache to have to deal with the lab charge with uncertainty on the test orders. Dr and billing person agreed with the preventive codes should be used. Will update on how the billing goes.

This office never gets back to you. I elected, under their guidance, to have a D&C procedure after experiencing a miscarriage back in late Oct. When I went in for my 2 week follow-up following the surgery. I WASN'T EVEN EXAMINED. Thankfully, I was able to get an appt with my regular gyn and he sent me in for blood work and performed a physical exam. I have very high platelets and they were even higher following the procedure and this office did nothing. It is now mid-August, and am still waiting for the report THAT I PAID FOR, or better yet for them to return one of my multiple phone calls regarding the report! I am currently in my 2nd trimester and have been seeing a different, more attentive, amazing group of doctors. I do not recommend the Pavlides, Benson & Shats practice
