Rooms were very clean and comfortable! Walked down stairs for a drink and enjoyed the live band! Highly recommend!

Stopped here for a night in the off season. We like to stay in local places, its always nicer than a big chain hotel. No issues with self check in. Only other people seemed to be locals drinking at the bar downstairs.

I had a reservation and was unable to cancel it. I called four times with no answer before my arrival time. I left multiple messages. I sent multiple emails. None of the phone numbers on the website or in my confirmation email lead to a human. I was charged for my room but didn't stay there at all. The policy is if canceled within 48 hours they charge you for the first night. I was changed for my entire stay. Over a week later and I still can't get ahold of anyone. My trip got rescheduled and I have no intension of booking here even thought it's right where I want to stay.

The inn is fabulous. I can't really recommend doc browns. Extremely limited menu at lunch. Pricey for what it was. Overall a wonderful experience

I cant say how disappointing our initial experience was. My son and I were in the area without a place to stay. Online it said to call for same day rez. I called and was told they dont accept same day reservations. (?) I explained that we were in a predicament and would appreciate the consideration of an exception. The lady took my name, number and said the manager would call me back. They didnt. We were eating nearby, finished 45 min. later and decided to check in person. The experience in person was rudely being addressed by the manager (doubling as maitred) as if we were a nuisance, telling us to book online as she didnt know if there were rooms available. (I was speaking to the night manager; it was 5:30pm.) I asked to confirm if I understood that correctly that she didnt know if there were even rooms available. She said no. She didnt know and said to check online. (Did I say you cant book same day. It says to call?) Place looked nice. We found another spot and I highly recommend - Flamingo Resort on Lake George. Super friendly and accommodating.
(Update regarding the owners reply: I posted my name with this review because I stand behind my experience. My two other reviews are 5 stars, and I barely post reviews. The owner of The Nest gaslighting me - seemed very angry - and only now saying they were fully booked is so lazy and consistent with what I explained above and other reviews posted by guests. Victoria at Flamingo, while on Lake George, was again super helpful.)
