My 81 year old mother came In here for physical therapy. This is the WORST place I have ever been In. She was left here sitting in her urine all night long and they have never changed her sheets. I called multiple times for the nurse who finally came 25 minutes later. My mom needs help going to bathroom that is why she is here and no one is here to help her. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Please do not send a loved one here. Every morning I come In Here this is how I find her !!! I am disgusted

Please do not send your loved ones here. Horrible care. My mom was suppose to be leaving alive. She left there dead.

If i could give zero stars i would. The aides and nurses in this place are disgusting people. We had an aide that told my mom that she had to go to dinner before she could help my dad get to bed. Same aide forced him to do more than the PT recommend and he escalated into a coughing fit because of it. When we asked the same aide to change his sheets which hadn't been changed in 3 days (we know that because we found a chicken bone in his bed and he hadn't had any in 3 days) she with attitude said "how do you know " . The nurse practitioner is incompetent and tunnel visioned. The PTs an OTs were great and knowledgeable. However the experience was absolutely horrendous because of the rest of the staff. Don't leave your loved ones alone there.

Due to my Mom's inadequate health insurance, TCC was one of the few places that would accept her for rehab. After reading the reviews, I was quite anxious and feared that she would be neglected and not given the proper care she needed. Thankfully, our experience was just the opposite. Mom was left very weak after being bed bound for weeks after experiencing COVID plus pneumonia. She could not even stand up on her own. I happened to be visiting her at the hospital at Park Ridge when they transferred her to TCC. Within an hour of arrival, we had met the OT, PT, nurse's aide, and Social Worker. Expectations and procedures were clearly explained in a friendly and professional manner. I left her feeling confident they would treat her well. Her palate was compromised (due to age, COVID, and previous health issues). Mom found the meals to be adequate. I did not taste the food personally, but it looked appealing. They made certain she did not go hungry. Mom had several health issues that made her care more complicated than typical. At one point she had a severe reaction to a medication that was previously prescribed, and the aides demonstrated such compassion as they tried to relieve the itch. She eventually had to return to the hospital to be treated, and stayed for nearly a week. On return to TCC, she was warmly welcomed back. One aide gave her a hug and told her she had been missed! The only issue Mom had occurred late morning/early afternoon one Saturday. She called me upset because she had been sitting in a chair for what she deemed too long. "The staff keep checking in with me to see how I am doing, but no one will help me get out of the chair and into bed. They told me I could go back to bed after I eat my lunch, but I don't want to eat." With the large amount of medications Mom was taking, it was imperative that she had food in her belly. Since the staff kept checking in, and they wanted to build her strength and prevent her from staying in bed all day, I find no fault with their approach. She was perfectly fine later that afternoon. Patients are allowed and encouraged to bring items from home to personalize the space. As with any healthcare facility, TCC must abide by DOH COVID guidelines. Mom had been at another rehab facility three years prior and TCC was far better - brighter, more attentive staff, cleaner, more organized, friendlier, and more helpful.
