In December, high winds blew away about 400 square feet of vinyl siding on my house. I was pleased that a contractor friend of a family member immediately checked out the damage and gave me a rough estimate. I was discouraged when I was told that once I signed the contract, it would take 3 months to receive new siding. Still, I was eager to get a quote and sign the contract. Through the remainder of December, January, and early February I asked for a formal proposal several times. I received promises, but no quote. I also had asked four other contractors to look at the job, but none responded, so I felt stuck. Using Angies list, I got the name and number of CNL Construction. I knew nothing abut CNL. I called them because they were local. I talked to Cory Lisinski, the owner. When I told Cory my story, I was surprised at how quickly he acted. I called him on a Thursday afternoon. He looked at the house that very evening. I got a quote on Saturday. The job was done on Monday. I thought that Cory took my problem personally, like it was his house, rather than mine. Cory was always professional and courteous. He kept his promises, big and small. Besides getting the job done so quickly, he realized I had vinyl siding over shake cedar shingles. This discovery, based on his experience, knowledge, and attention to details, saved me an estimated $1,000 of unnecessary work proposed by my initial contractor as essential. CNL will be my go-to-contractor in the future.
