Preschool of the Arts @ Chelsea

We have had a terrible experience with this school and hope to spare other parents from a similar situation. We enrolled our daughter at Preschool of the Arts (POTA) and paid for the full year ($33,850) up front as required. On the second day of the school year, they canceled her classroom because of low enrollment, leaving us without childcare at a moments notice. And then they told us our money was non-refundable. After some tense emails, the school finally offered to refund the tuition in monthly installments. We didnt understand why a well-off network of preschools couldnt just return the full amount so early in the school year, but we just wanted to be able to cover the expenses for our new preschool, so we agreed. We had to chase the school every month for the check and after three months the checks stopped coming. We emailed the administrators and the CEO multiple times and no one would even respond. There was just silence. We had to engage a lawyer just to get a cursory response from the husband of the CEO saying that the school didnt have the money to repay us. Whats going on that the school cant afford to repay a check that we sent to them? The entire experience with this school has been incredibly frustrating and deeply concerning.

We couldn't be more pleased with this school. The staff is amazing and the location is wonderful.

Teachers are the best. Highly qualified personnel with good values and a lot of patience. Love that they teach my kids about the holidays and Shabbat. Love that they cook lunch on site. After my first son attended I couldn't think of any other school for my number two. The schedule in the location near us wasn't working for us for number two so I looked at so many other places but nothing comes close to even consider. It's not just the facility that's great, it's really the teachers. You can't find that level of teachers anywhere else. So I ended up taking number to to POTA across town where the schedule fits me better. Super happy with it albeit the daily commute.

Our daughter attended POTA for three years prior to Kindergarten. She loved the teachers, the environment and the entire experience, as did we. We highly recommend POTA for their attention to students' needs, thoughtful curriculum and excellent communication with the families of their students.
