GK Framing is unquestionably one of the finest framers in New York City, if not in the world. GK...makes its own rice paper hinges for works on paper, has a dust-free, sealed room which is used when encapsulating works in frames, frames works on paper in a manner that enables anyone to easily access the print through the back without destroying the frame, appreciates all conservation issues, has developed multiple custom-designed frames for me that include doors and sliding covers to protect prints from light exposure (in addition to museum glass/plexi), is willing to be creative and think through framing issues in new ways, partners with multiple conservators to evaluate works if a customer seeks to consider restoration, enjoys access to uncommon types of framing materials (e.g., specialized woods, industrial steel, various types of glass and plexi, etc.), etc. Elizabeth loves what she does and she has built a team around her that shares her passion. GK is a special place, used by museums and experienced collectors to protect their most precious works. GK remains the standard by which all other framers should judge their work.

High quality workmanship. I had what I think is a fairly complicated large 3D artwork that needed support and framing. GK Framing understood what was needed, paid attention to details, and produced a great result.
