Felt very taken care of and alot of consideration with Dr. Huang. He initially recommended I avoid surgery, and only when the symptoms got worse did he lay out the steps for procedure and recovery. I'm now back on my feet with zero leg pain, ready for PT and exercise and he and his team have comforted me with the idea that shortly I will be back to all previous activities.

Dr. Huang is exceptional, very talented and professional surgeon. Almost a year a go I had a MVA that caused disc herniations and over time I lost ability to walk. I can not thank Dr. Huang enough for giving me my life back. I had surgery with him 3 days ago and I'm feeling better. Thank you all staff office Chelsea, Erica and Claudia were very helpful. Made an appointment to see Dr. Huang. Sent over all my previous records, imaging reports and wrote requested synopsis of symptoms in email to his admin Chelsea. Set to see him on a Monday. Friday before was called and notified by Chelsea that he had reviewed my records and would not see me for a consult. I asked why and was told he didnt give a reason - just said no. Chelsea his receptionist was VERY NICE AND RESPONSIVE so this is not a reflection on her. My problems seem well within his scope of his practice so I am confused. As a physician myself I would at least have given my patient the courtesy of knowing why I did not want to take patient on/offer consultation. It was also frustrating to have my appointment cancelled at the last minute and Ill admit I think his receptionist was a little embarrassed at having to make the phone call to me. Def not world class service for such a world class hospital.

I was bed ridden for a month with drop foot and desperate to relieve my sciatica pain. Although the receptionist told me it would take months to see Dr Huang, he personally called me a few hours later after reviewing my MRI and told me to come see him. He patiently explained that although the herniated substance would eventually dissolve, it might take years. When I was mentally ready to go in for surgery he squeezed me in on a Friday evening! I went in screaming from pain but I woke up from surgery absolutely pain free. Its been about 8 years and Im very physically active (tennis, golf, skiing, running) and pain free! Dr Huang is my hero not only because he healed me, but he was patient and calming through the process and made time for me when I was ready.
