S. Robert Rozbruch, MD

I've seen four doctors 'down south' for foot pain. The 4th finally took an x-ray of my ankle, said it was worn out and fusion my only option. I just couldn't accept fusion. The loss of flexibility distressed me. I started researching on the internet and read an article on ankle distraction surgery co-authored by Dr. Robert Rozbruch. It's regrows ankle cartilage. Beyond amazing!!! I'm not a great candidate for that but he said I AM a good candidate for ankle replacement. He has fantastic technology that customizes the hardware for my body. I've been pain in every step for three years. He assures me that I will be walking normally and pain free with ankle replacement. It's the ankle under a fantastic new knee replacement. Tonight I feel I'm in a miracle. Dr. Rozbruch took awhile to get to me but was 200 % attentive and did the most thorough examination. Not being able to walk has been hell. UPDATE: Nine weeks status post total ankle replacement by Dr. Robert Rozbruch. MY FOOT DOES NOT HURT!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Rozbruch is a wonderful surgeon and very kind He fixed my ankle from 1978 about 12 years ago, it originally was shattered and after 30 yrs I was told it would have to be fused. Another Dr referred me for reconstructive surgery it changed my life and I was pain free. Unfortunately this past year I had an accident and had to get another surgery on the ankle and leg I-was n Ct. after healing 2 surgeries later I recently went to see him to see what my options would be if something were to happen again. He took the time reviewed X-rays etc and gave me some peace of mind I would and have recommended him to many people.

Scheduling staff, specifically Rosa, has been very difficult to work with. Very impatient and vindictive. I had to cancel a couple appointments. She wanted to get me in for a virtual visit and pay $400 without even having any medical records on file the first time. The second time I had a scheduling conflict. Pity because I hear good things about the doctor but the staff seems to be arrogant and unempathetic.

Ill be honest maybe he is good doctor but horrible person . He never treated me . Dont get close this department . They are sure they above HSS , can lie to patients and then they will scream on you . And Robert doesnt care . The only thing they care is money ! As a patient I believe no one deserves to be lied . As well part of there office team are not professional.

Despite arriving 30 mins before my appointment time I was left in waiting rooms for over 3 hours. At that point the nurse told me in a rather condescending tone, that Dr Rozbruch was busy with more complex surgery patients and that I would be seen ASAP. After 3.5 hours had passed I had to leave due to other commitments that afternoon. I made the appointment 1 month in advance and the reception knew that I had travelled from Europe. Overall it was a huge waste of my time, I incurred significant travel costs, and now Im back to square one searching for other practitioners. On a plus note, the front desk receptionist was very nice and welcoming, but that was the only positive experience that I had at HSS.
