I dont love having to go to a dentist for any reason but everyone here is top notch. Front desk, communication, routine dental hygiene, more involved procedures. They are consistently the absolute best!

I rarely write reviews and often doubt reviews' authenticity and/or sincerity, but I feel compelled to write a review about the amazing Dr. Schachtel, his fabulous assistant Sairah,and their fantastic front-desk staff. My dentist retired right before the pandemic, and when I suddenly had half of my second molar just chip off, I was in despair. Dr. Schachtel did all the post-root-canal work on my second molar today, and it would be an understatement to say that I was impressed: he is an extraordinary dentist who takes his brilliance so matter-of-factly because of his humble, relaxing style of interactions. He has extraordinarily light hands: I felt just a tiny one-second pinch when he injected the anesthetic, and that was it (even though he mentioned some side effects that might happen, but I had none). As he worked, he kept me informed about what he was about to do and why, and how long each step might take, and his delivery too was so light: I did not feel the need to respond and (to my delight!) his estimates of time that each step would take were correct to a minute (such a rarity!), plus his skills were such that I forgot that I was having a dental procedure and was just enjoying Louis Armstrong, Sinatra, and Elvis singing in the background as if I was taking a coffee break (!!!) while his assistant Sairah made sure that I was not suffering from my usual dry mouth or choking on water (both were there all the time with my old dentist). In fact, Sairah has such a pure sunshine personality that, after spending time with her and Dr. Schachtel, I left their office feeling happy, relaxed and relieved. To top it all off, their front-desk staff (especially Cibu) was extremely friendly and helpful. In sum, while Manhattan is filled to the brim with dental offices, a great one is really hard to find. Well, this is truly a great one: I have a lot of dental work that needs to be done, but I was putting it off; well, I now plan to do it soon, and I know where I will have it done: it will be with Dr. Schachtel and Sairah.
