        The waiter was a complete moron. I ordered a bottle of coke. He brought it back in a glass with ice. I asked about different menu options, he didnt know. It is a small menu. There are many many restaurants in NYC, Im never coming back to this one. Tacos were excellent.

        Was disappointed by the lack of taste in the food. Had great expectation, but the torta was absolutely average at best. Hope to have a better experience in the future trying some of the other offerings.

        My husband and I have been watching Rick Baylesss YouTube videos and making his recipes for a couple years now! We were so excited to try one of his restaurants and were not disappointed!! We started with the almost naked Guac and Chips. The guacamole was so fresh and tasty! My husband got the Carne Asada torta and I got the Roasted Mushroom quesadilla. Both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Looking forward to when we can visit Tortazo again!!

      Welcome to Tortazo, a new Mexican concept from celebrated chef Rick Bayless.Inspired by Mexico's vibrant food, colors, and culture, Tortazo is a place of discovery – of bold flavors and new culinary experiences – but also where the genuine warmth of Mexican hospitality will embrace you.Our first location opened in early 2020 at Catalog in Chicago's iconic Willis Tower, offering counter service. In 2021, we expanded to the East Coast, opening in New York City's NoMad neighborhood as a full-service restaurant. In January 2023, we opened our second location right in the heart of the city and one of the most iconic places in the world Times Square.
