6 Columbus - Central Park Hotel

If you want to feel how it is to sleep in a sardine can, book a room here. The front dask is very rude. The front desk said to me 4 times - "this is a boutique hotel" The room we had received was so small, there was no room for the suitcase to be opened without blocking access to the bathroom or the bed. The sad part is, it wasn't the smallest room or the smallest bed. We paid over 500$ for ONLY 2 NIGHTS, and they're upgrade would cost another 420$ for the 2 nights. Once they saw we arrived afternoon, they're only solution was to cancel the reservation and ask us to leave immediately. Lucky we were able to find a nice Hyatt hotel few minutes away. Less than 500$ and double the room size, clean and much more modern looking. And I don't want to elaborate on the VIEW from the only window... Just judge for yours... Horrible service, front dask is arrogant, not respectful of your input !!!

Its okay. The location is great. The lobby and hallways are super dark. It is so dark that it is hard to see the elevator button. The room was ok. I was comfortable sleeping by myself in the center of the bed, but there is no way It would be shareable. It has zero support. The shower left much to be desired. The handle will go any direction, so its hard to find the right spot for the desired water temp. The water comes out like a fire hose and the trajectory is aimed right at the gap where the shower curtain does not go all the way to the wall. The shower head was too high for me to adjust. There are nice bottles of shampoo, etc in the shower but the pumps are not activated so you have to fumble with them in the firehouse and eventually just unscrew the top all while the shower curtain invades your personal space. The front desk service was not terribly friendly or helpful once they decided to appear after my 10 minute wait to check in. The restaurant in the lobby is delightful.

I wouldent recommend this hotel to anyone! Me and my boyfriend stayed here late December for two nights just for a little get away! Thought we booked a quality hotel and boy was I wrong! First night there was miserable! My boyfriend and I gave our family members the bed and we slept on the pull out couch and omg it was so uncomfortable! The mattress was paper thin and the springs were poking into our backs! Went to the front desk and they did absolutely nothing! So I bought another room just for me and my boyfriend and as we walked in it reeked of weed! It was soooo strong but we were so tired of going to the front desk so we just slept in the weed room lol! There was also a huge crack in the window letting cold air in so we had to bundle up! In the middle of the night I woke my boyfriend up because I hear what sounded like a waterfall coming from the bathroom so he turned on the lights to find a giant hole in the ceiling and brown water pouring out of it everywhere onto the bathroom floor! The next morning our throats hurt so bad from breathing in weed all night! We went to tell the front desk about the weed and the giant ceiling leak and said they would send someone to look at it! They never did send someone but luckily we were checking out. They never offered a discount for all the trouble! Very disappointed and will never be staying there again! If you do choose to stay there do not have the room that we had! Room 26!
