Eye Center Of New York

This place is a logistical mess. Booked my appointment two weeks in advance and the receptionist told me Dr. Sherman took my insurance. Today is the day before my appointment and I needed to know what time it was, so I called. I find out that the receptionist spelled my last name wrong and Dr. Sherman doesn't take my insurance. I am really because this can't happen. I have to travel far to get here. Train better.

I went to the Empire State building and couldn't see so good. But the amazing Barbara helped me make an appointment and I was fixed once I brought in all my shoes and my glasses!

I rarely leave reviews but if anyone is deserving of one, it's Dr. Melissa Sherman. She is not only a professional optometrist, who provides thorough eye care, but she is also very kind. I came into Eye Center office 2021 due to bilateral eye redness/dryness, as well as a my left eyelid was swollen and quivering. After the initial eye examination, she diagnosed with Dry Eye symptoms and she new exactly which treatment would help me. She also referred me to a Neuro ophthalmologist for my eye quivering, who within 10 minutes of seeing me, knew exactly that the "eye quivering was due to autoimmune disease that affect the eyes." I cannot recommend Dr. Sherman more! She is truly the top in her field. Thank you!!!

I was pleasantly received by the front desk staff, had a very extensive eye and vision examination and, most importantly, a very clear explanation of the procedure of the cataract I was going to undergo. Super experience.
