Dr. Pollack is far above other retina specialists. He is caring and takes his time with each patient. Thanks to Dr. Pollack I still have my sight. Im so fortunate to have him as my doctor.

My first time at a retina specialist. As a health care professional myself, I think the doctor himself has decent bedside manners and seems to be knowledgeable. A bit rushed, perhaps he overheard my conversation that I was not contacted beforehand to let me know the appointment would take at least 2 hours and that I would have blurred vision. I drove in from Jersey. I cant drive back with blurry vision. I wondered why wasnt I informed? But the front desk staff, or lack of, was quite an unpleasant experience. walked in and no one was at the reception desk. I sat for about 15-20 minutes with no one having checked me in. I could hear conversations going on in somewhere, which added to my annoyance. I thought that was weird considering I do my best to acknowledge my patients and if I can't get to them, I tell them I will be with them shortly. It just takes a sentence. I literally used my phone on purpose just to see if anyone would pop by. A mail man came in and since there was no one at the front, he went through the window to grab mail. Imagine you had HIPAA on the computer screen and anyone could just put half their body through the window to reach - oh wait. Cherry on top was when a patient came, peeked his head and body through the window and got someone. He seemed like a regular. Aaron, the manager, at first seemed nice until I could hear him talk unprofessionally about a woman. Could be me, but who knows? I was sitting at the waiting area after removing my contacts, and I could hear his conversations. Aaron- you shouldn't be making fun of women and therapy the way you did. Yikes.

Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc. recognizes him as an ophthalmological associate for his contributions to the advancement of eye research and disease investigation. He has published articles in major academic journals. Dr. Pollack is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
