Deana worked expeditiously and in a very thoughtful manner to handle my family court matter due to a substantial loss of income. Deana and her team made the process easier from start to finish, and although my case was small in comparison to other bigger cases, Deana spent the quality time to get it done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Deana for her professionalism. I am more than happy with what was accomplished and would definitely "drop her name" to anybody for her no nonsense attitude and getting results.

Deana Balahtsis and her team handled my divorce and custody battle and I would recommend her without second thought. Deana is a very bright and passionate lawyer who will fight for you like its her own personal matter . Deana worked tirelessly and even took calls with me at 11 at night , on weekends and her vacation , to accommodate my unconventional work schedule . She is very smart, efficient and her heart is in the right place . She showed up for me in every crazy turn of events in the rollercoaster ride that was my divorce . Definitely hire her !

Id like to help the public before you become one of Deana Balahtsis victim like me. Deana Balahtsis is zero stars but lowest allowed is one star. Since she has been my lawyer I am worse off now than I was before she was my lawyer with my custody and finances in my divorce. Really unethical lawyer who acts as your very understanding advocate in the beginning to hook you to sign a ridiculously expensive contract. Then she wants more and more money from you because she preys on parents that will do anything for their children to suck you dry in a divorce. She uses guilt trips, threats and fear if you dont keep her on. She keeps dragging her feet and always has an excuse why she cant follow through on what the client wants and reassures you shes very strategic and working in a plan. She keeps her clients in the dark and doesnt send at all or delays communications from other party or court. This is partly so she can overbill her clients keeping them uninformed to what she is and not doing but also for her not to do actual lawyer work. She goes on vacations without telling her clients then she blames her client for not doing her own legal work in a last minute rush. More shocking is she charges her client $25,000 or more for her changing a word here and here on any legal documents that you had to write for her to simply upload to the court. She has harassed me more than my ex for money without any legal work worthy of it. I am more stressed from this divorce from my own lawyer than the other party. Anyone looking for an ethical lawyer that will truly protect your best interests and not just act that way when she gets paid then attacks her own client when she wants more money should stay away from Deana Balahtsis. Sound like behaviors of another criminal organization you might think? Yes she definitely extorts money from hard working people who are just trying to live a good honest life by promising that she is are on your side to protect your best interest but shes actually the biggest offender that is preying on you and ruining your life even more so than your ex. Lawyers like Deana Balahtsis are borderline criminals, and should not be allowed to practice law because they break every rules of human decency. Protect yourself from lawyers like her, and do not fall victim to their sales pitch. Please read as this is very important if you want to avoid heartache and being robbed by Deana Balahtsis. Like many divorce lawyers, she will lure you in agreeing and tell you everything you want to hear. She will put on her many year perfected acting to look like she is the most understanding lawyer who believes in you and will fight for you till the end to rip a hefty $30,000-$50,000 or more retainer from you. She preys on your desperation to do anything to get your freedom and life back and put an end to an ugly divorce. Once she gets her hooks in you, she will toil with your emotions to threatened she will drop you if you dont pay up more and more money while she builds you up to tell you not to give up and hero fighting. Deana charges for things that she has not done and doesnt keep detailed billing to cover up her lies. She intentionally hides case information from her client that other lawyers send to their clients so she can keep her client in the dark and overly dependant on her so she can overbill. She also talks the big talk that she is a boutique lawyer that charges higher than other lawyers because shes that great and pretends to look like shes a great litigator. The truth is she wings everything and doesnt prepare, gets her clients cases mixed up, starts mumbling in court trying to figure out why shes in court, blames you for all her mistakes and you have to coach her to get through court by texting, passing written notes or whispering to her your case details in front of the judge. She hooks you saying she has strategies shes thinking of but never actually has them. Then when you ask she yells she cant work if clients hold her back where she has to check in and update her client on what she does and she needs a large retainer to be strategic. This again is one of many lies shes used with all her clients to pay up. She thinks her clients are so desperate she even stops at one point producing any real work to benefit you but just starts demanding money by text, call, email and then charges you every time she threatens you. She became more of a stress than the divorce. She is a perfect combination of a criminal extortionist and a con artist abusing the law to prey upon families and rip them apart. Whenever she gets a chance she will say you got to keep fighting and dont settle because thats the only way with YOUR divorce and trying to settle will be a waste of time as the other party will never agree to whatever she picks as the daily special item on your divorce wish list. She is one of the sickest human beings I have met on earth.
