Iconic. Simply one of the stunning prewar buildings in UWS. Most units will need renovation but are truly incredible. One thing that will surprise most of people are that this still is the most expensive condo conversion in NYC. Reason being, out of total 163 units, only 63 were converted to condos at $426 million. (Avg $6.5m per unit). You might wonder what happens to rest 100 units? They are the city rent-stablized units. Isnt that crazy? The most expensive condo conversion in New York City. This is the top of this building. Not right! Wow, I finally go into this building. If you live in UWS, you know everything here, right? It is a very large building right next to the 79th Street Station, occupying Broadway, WEA, and the entire 78th & 79th block. As it was built in 1908, it is very old-fashioned and cool. really. There were people wearing uniforms standing at the entrance to the building, so it felt like I was watching a movie. When I looked into this building, there were many fun and surprising features! You are looking at a whopping 2,410 sq ft apartment in Episode 2.5 of 2 Rooms from 5 Million. Normally, this size would fit two two-bedroom apartments. Antop, which has a total of 163 units, was built by Clinton and Russell Architect and is a descendant of William Waldorf Astor, a very wealthy Astor family who ran hotels, newspapers, and business. After looking further, there are a total of 163 units. What's interesting is that this building was built as a rental building. It's just a co-op, but it's not like that. What's more interesting is that 100 of them are Rent stabilized units. The reason it is the most expensive condo conversion. A total of $426 million was spent, but in the end, only 63 apartments were converted to condos. Average price per unit is $6.5 million. It's fun, right? Ultimately, it looks like an incredibly iconic building from the outside, but inside, more than 60% of the units are rental units. The problem is nothing else, but in this case, banks may not provide fianncing. That's the biggest problem. Usually, this problem can occur if the owner's OpupunC does not exceed 50%. These are really beautiful units in a very nice prewar building. Now that you have these special features, how about taking a look at Antop?
