Crystal Run Healthcare Middletown

Received notice today that I had a past due bill for an appointment that was completed in March. LATER IN THR DAY I RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE FROM THEM: "Your clinician bill from your visit to Crystal Run is now at risk of being escalated to our collections agency." 1. How can you escalate a bill that I just received notice on? 2. Is this how predatory the Healthcare system has become? 3. How can you send a bill to collections and send a threatening message with this, when you only notified me today of the bill? Go somewhere else. This is the second time they've tried to do this to me, and I always pay my co-pays and insurance bills when informed.

I scheduled an appointment for a second opinion on issues I was having after a surgery that was done at a different provider. The day before the appointment, the nurse called and was extremely condescending, she spoke to me like I was an idiot. She told me that I made an appointment with the wrong type of doctor using an online portal. I explained my situation and that I spoke to a live person and I made an appointment with the right type of doctor. I chose to make my appointment with this doctor Because he had great reviews. She proceeded to tell me I would have to go to the doctor with the bad reviews because he focuses more on that type of surgery. I explained Im not asking anyone to do surgery. Im asking for him to look at basic issues that are not specific to the surgery site, to better understand what was causing them.. She told me he wont see me, and I could only see the other doctor with the bad reviews. I did not just make an appointment with Crystal Run, I made the appointment with the doctor i wanted to see. I will be setting up an appointment with a doctor somewhere else.

This place is a real cracker Jack box. I've had good experiences with primary care, but I just walked out of an appointment that was over a half hour late with no explanations (and no visit). This was a reschedule from a week ago where I waited for an hour only to be told I'll have to reschedule. This was a first time appointment for a high risk OB. Not exactly a nonsense appointment. You're not the only game in town, off I go. 2 stars earned by primary care only.
