I had severe flooding in my garage whenever it rained heavily. After spending thousands with another plumber and drainage expert, I called Superior Plumbing. Angel came out and fixed the problem in a couple hours. Experienced, polite and he cleaned up after the job. Thank you Superior Plumbing and especially Angel!!!! I called the plumber to come out and I will say they were very fast and responsive. The guy told me the prices and then attempted to snake the bathtub. He tried for a few minutes and said he couldnt get the snake down. He then told me my pipes were old and probably rotted shut and quoted me about $1000 to put all new pvc pipes in. I told him to try going in through the trap underneath the tub since its fully exposed in the basement and he told me it was no use since its probably stuck shut and he would never be able to get it open. I trusted his advice and I stupidly paid him $100 Down payment cash for them to come back out. Frustrated that I couldnt use my shower and that he didnt try going through the trap, I went to Home Depot bought a new snake for $39 to give it a try myself. I easily removed the bottom trap that the plumber said was welded shut with a basic wrench. Went in with a hand held snake and cleared the drain of a big clump of hair. Im thrilled I didnt listen to them and pay $1000 but Im real angry the guy came out did nothing and charged me a down payment. All he had to do was go under the trap like I told him. He was so eager to cut all my pipes and replace them with pvc. It really stinks he came out charged me for nothing, and then tried to upsell me when the fix was pretty easy.
