I Was in town on a short business trip and stumbled upon the art house as an option to a hotel. I must admit, it felt like home. Beautifully decorated very comfortable, and the most impressive part of the whole trip was meeting Rosalind and Michael the owners . After breakfast, I was intrigued by the artwork, and she graciously gave me the tour of her studio and all of her beautiful artwork. She is the painter of the couple. Then michael gave me a tour of his studio. He is is,the Sculptor. Then we continue to walk the grounds, and we looked at all the landscaping and gardens I think I found my home away from home when in town highly recommend it. Steve Griggd Noteworthy details: Just the hospitality. The ladies that prepared the wonderful breakfast were very warming, and Genuine. And once again, the owners genuine people, down to earth

Great experience for my wife and I! We only had 1 night, and the owners were fun to get to know, and chat with. This is not your typical B&B - the owners are literal working artists and they each specialize in very different types of art and each has their own studio in a wing of the expansive home. They both took out time for us, showing off their work - which was quite impressive. Each of them are so different creatively, and it made for a truly fun time. Their gardens are also so beautiful - and they've done a truly wonderful job in creating a relaxing and very beautiful space. They also loaned us beach passes, and going to the beautiful/pristine, private beaches was so fun. The breakfast was terrific, and even though we had checked out, they invited us to enjoy their bikes, and the house for a number of hours after. We didn't use the pool, but we did enjoy the hammocks. Very kind folks - running a beautiful business. Thank you both for a terrific time. Nearby activities: You're in East Hampton - and 20 minutes away from some the best shopping, beaches and restaurants in the world.

Girls getaway with my teenage daughter. We live locally on Long Island. About 1 hour from the ArtHouse. Wanted to try something different as we typically do a lot of resort stays together. Michael and Rosalind are lovely, sociable hosts whose talents are exceptional. You'll see that if you take the time to tour each of their studios. Now for my review of their ArtHouse. Overall, a memorable stay. Depending on which room type you book, you'll invest $800-$1,100 including tax. Even more, if you visit during high season when their outdoor pool is open. Depending on when you book, note that part or all of your prepayment is nonrefundable. With that said, my expectations were high. EXTERIOR: The siding and facade of the house were different from what I was expecting. It seemed like it needed a refresh. Knowing they had state of the art amenities inside the home, I expected the entrance to be different at first glance. RECEPTION: A received a call from Michael prior to my arrival. I advised I was on my way. During that call, there was no discussion of where to park or which door to enter when I got there. I also advised I sent multiple emails to which he said he replied. I checked my spam. Oddly enough, I never received anything. Upon arrival, I parked in their driveway not knowing I needed to pull into the adjacent driveway and enter through the side door. This made for an uncomfortable start because we were ringing the wrong doorbell next to a garage that was halfway open. For a couple of minutes there, I did not feel safe and instantly felt regret. Michael soon greeted us however and turned that around. He instructed where to park and gave us the full tour. That tour was easily 20-25 minutes. He showed us the grounds, the room and maps of the area. My opinion is this tour could have been shorter. My teen was disengaged so I could only imagine for parents traveling with small children. BUTLER PANTRY: This is a lovely area outside their kitchen that has bountiful snacks and beverages. We didn't take much but appreciated the selection offered. Keep in mind the owners are using their kitchen so this area is not fully private. OUTDOOR POOL: Not open for our stay but I went into this fully aware of that. My suggestion is to put on a pool cover. You could see the emptiness of the concrete and some of the murky water. It took away from the beauty of the surrounding area which I'm sure is fabulous when the pool is open. The prices as mentioned earlier are higher in the summer once you can swim.. Approximately $200 p/night more. We did not use their indoor pool. It's small and serves its purpose but not inviting enough to want to put our bathing suits on. Just my opinion. I know guests do use it. The pool table and darts were also an option but we elected not to use. Overall, we never revisited the downstairs of the house after our tour to game or swim. BICYCLES: Thank goodness for the bicycles offered as our adventure outside the ArtHouse was a major win! We took a really lovely ride around. The beach areas are fabulous. My bicycle chain fell off at 1 point. That made me nervous because cell service is not good in this area of East Hampton. However, I was able to fix. My hands were full of grease but the adventure my daughter and I took together was still so worth it! MASTER SPA SUITE: This is the top accommodation you can pay for. It has many state of the art amenities. This is what I booked. Music, fireplace, balcony and the bathroom that will wow you. For me, the room amenities truly helped justify the price tag. A toilet with bidet, sauna room, double whirlpool and expansive shower. This was ALL in the bathroom of this suite. We used it fully and it was an exceptional experience! BREAKFAST: The staff is truly lovely. It was just my daughter and I in the house that day so we had the breakfast room to ourselves. They took our order and were detailed and professional. The freshly made-to-order meal was delicious! What a delightful way to end our stay at ArtHouse.
