First time visit for exam and glasses. Very impressed with how I was treated. Very very personalized treatment by all involved!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely a GREAT EXPERIENCE. Thank you very much.

Called ahead of time to check if they take my insurance. Waited on hold for ~hour. They confirmed that they do take my insurance. Arrived and was told that they actually don't, insurance depends on the doctor, and their doctor doesn't take my insurance. Apparently if you call the specific location and are on hold for more than a couple minutes they transfer the call to "corporate", who doesn't know which location you're calling for, nor which insurances they take, therefore they just lie and say yes for all insurances for all locations. Not this location's fault necessarily, so I guess sorry for the bad review. Edit: Bumping this up to a 3 due to time + the above ("corporate" issue).

Despite Aetna -and- Empire VisionWorks verifying that Empire VisionWorks is in-network with Aetna, the East Greenbush office refuses to bill Aetna for anything including eye exams. They also have never updated their address with Aetna since moving 100ft down the road to a new building and refuses to do so which may be the crux of the problem. Avoid this office unless you have a grand to pay up front for a full eye exam and glasses.
