DO NOT USE. Beware of this company. This place hires untrained agents and calls them Product Manager. Almost cost me my mortgage approval for unresponsive staff who didnt notice there was an issue. Awful.

A total scam! Although this company is now owned by Smith Brothers, my suggestion is to stay away and look for a different insurance broker who will refer you to an honest insurance company! If you have a problem with an insurance company that Shank & Falvey refers to you, don't bother calling the owner, Chuck Shank, as he won't get back to you by phone or email. The insurance company that Shank & Falvey referred me to (Foremost Insurance) made up all sorts of excuses when I filed my claim for hurricane damages to avoid paying for it. In some cases, like mine, the scam works like this - the insurance companies that Shank & Falvey refer may not even perform an initial inspection on your home and will just quickly write up a policy and agree to collect your scheduled payments. However, when it's time for the homeowner to file a claim, the referred insurance company will conveniently state that the hurricane damages that blew a hole through my ceilings were due to "wear and tear," which is of course not insured. When I asked the referred insurance company why they agreed to first write out the policy (if the roof were in as awful shape as they suddenly claimed,) the referred insurance company will conveniently respond "sorry, we didn't do the initial due diligence to send an inspector to check your home two years ago before we agreed to write the policy." In my case, the referred insurance company gladly agreed to cover my home for weather (e.g., wind damages), and accepted my quarterly payments for about two years before the recent hurricane damaged my home. Those damages would obviously have not occurred, if the weather were bright and sunny so the damages were caused by the severe weather conditions (prior to this incident, I never had roof issues in the two years that I owned my home.) How is this acceptable? Don't fall prey to this fraud! I now spent thousands of dollars on premiums and have zero help in repairing my property after the hurricane damages. Thanks for the great referral Chuck - you made a lot of money and burned a hole right through my pocket!!! I'm now reporting your company and Foremost to the Department of Financial Services.
