When I arrived I had to double check I had the right location based on all the wonderful reviews on google...it was. I must have gone on an off day or something because my experience here was far from the reviews I read prior. There are ppl smoking and loitering outside the door which is whatever, that happens anywhere. Then when I walked in, the office smelled like a Las Vegas Casino so much it literally made me nauseous. Again whatever, Im sure its not always like that (benefit of the doubt). Thennn as I took a seat with my ill-informed tax preparer I turn back to the door and see the ppl outside were actually coming INSIDE the office to light their cigarettes' to block from the wind...they were lighting the cigarettes INSIDE....I was surprised the tax prep didnt say anything or ask them to leave. Well a few min later one of those men walks inside and sits at a desk. turns out he works there too. Okay so now its just weird whatever as long as I get my taxes done the right way....My tax prep had no idea what she was doing. I asked her a simple question about taxes I paid and she had to call her sister on the phone to ask her. The entire time I was sitting there I had an overwhelming feeling that she was very inexperienced, even the way she was struggling navigating their system. I felt extremely uncomfortable sitting across from someone who probably knew as little as I did when it came to taxes. I ended up leaving. I couldn't do it. Jackson Hewitt, ppl are paying for this service. Do better.
