I took the American Sailing 101 course, instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. I had a great time, the course and school staff exceeded my expectations.

Taking the ASA 101 course in May with Captain Justin at Sail Buffalo has set the tone for one of the most enjoyable summers I have ever had. Justin expertly instructed me and my classmates in how to safely sail an approximately 25 foot long sailboat. Since completing the course, I joined Friends of Sail Buffalo and have had numerous fantastic outings on the water. Captain Pierre, Al, and the rest of the staff and Friends of Sail Buffalo have all been friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Sail Buffalo!

Wonderful instructor/instruction and made me feel very confident by the end of Day 3 that I could sail (I went in with zero knowledge other than having been on sailboats with a cocktail many times! ha) Make sure to read the book ahead of time, even if you're like me and registered for the class last minute. It is so helpful when the instructor starts their explanation & teaching. I had a lovely time and would highly recommend!

i went here last summer and really didnt enjoy it, im quite shy and get distracted easy and didn't really pay attention during what i was supposed to be doing since i would think since im new and have never been there before that they would do it over the week i was there, but they didn't. after the instructor left the boat i had no idea what i was doing, and when i expressed that to the other kids on the boat i was ridiculed and humiliated by them. i went home crying. the next 2 days i met some nice people and was sorted on a boat with them and we became friends, even though i didnt know anything they were still fine with it. after the week was over i didnt learn anything since they only explained things once, but know that this camp should only be enjoyed by extroverted people or people who already know how to sail
