Working with Ruti was a dream, from picking out fabric options at her studio (such a fun experience!), to ordering samples, to communicating about logistics, to organizing drop-off and pick-up. She is kind, communicative, and efficient. She did a fantastic job reupholstering 6 antique and very well-loved dining chairs. They turned out fabulous, and we'll enjoy them for many, many years to come. Ruti added new foam and mesh to replace the old, broken cane seats, and such a fun new fabric that somehow looks modern while still nodding to the antique. The mix of old and new vibes is just incredible. Thank you, Ruti!

Ruti was amazing to work with - super transparent and professional. A local parent group had recommended her and Im so happy to have an upholstress in Brooklyn. We have these beautiful vintage dining chairs that needed a serious upgrade. The seats were tipping over, the upholstery was super old, and the cushion had fallen flat. After sending some photos and exchanging a few emails, I met with Ruti to pick fabric and then picked up the chairs a week later. It was seamless! When there was a slight hiccup (the screws in the chairs were old and lost their thread), she even came over to replace all the screws and help make sure they were secure. Highly recommend Rutis work and cant wait to bring the next piece in!

What an absolute joy to deal with someone so talented and kind. Thanks to years of heavy use by two kids, we had four very disgusting stools that Ruti absolutely transformed. While we'd intended to have them repaired with a similar, grey fabric, Ruti's expertise with choosing fabrics really inspired us to do something refreshing and fun. And now, seeing them in our home, it's difficult to imagine that we considered anything different. Would recommend her to any and all that have a piece of beloved (but well worn) furniture looking for a makeover.
