After hearing Boby Flay praise the pies from Four & Twenty Blackbirds, we decided to give it a try. We went to the Pie Counter and Bar on Dean Street. We chose the Peaconut and the Salted Caramel Apple pies. Both were delicious! The Peaconut was very unusual. Creamy texture with rich multi flavours and crunch from the peanuts. The Apple Pie was (as was described by Boby Flay) exemplary of what an apple pie should be. The homemade caramel sauce made the apple filling the star of this pie. We paired the pies with delicious cups of freshly brewed coffee. Will go back again for more. Thank you,Melissa and Emily, for bringing your amazing pies to NYC.
