I just left. Horrendous experience. Dr. Remi is horrible. I had 3 teeth pulled by him in the past. Last one in May 2020, and he was always; warm, curteous, professional. But most of all the atmosphere was relaxed and I never felt any pain. So I traveled all the way from upstate NY (I moved from the city) to get 2 teeth pulled by him, thinking he had the same mannerisms. I was so wrong. He came in didn't respond to my upbeat "hello" and frowned. Started telling me "I have nothing but bone, no space for teeth", when I asked about implants to replace the teeth he was pulling. When I was confused because how can I have no space for teeth. I had all my teeth and no overcrowded teeth on top of teeth in my mouth. So I was quite puzzled. He proceeded to roll his eyes, get a mirror and try to show me, stating "well if you can't see or feel this then I can't help you" Talking to me like I'm so beneath him and 4 yrs old. Mind you, I have 2 Masters Degree and I am a HS Health Science teacher who can understand concepts quite well. Then he numbs me, comes back to try to pull the 1st tooth out, I start screaming. I felt like a slave when the slave master would pull their teeth out for punishment. It hurt so bad. He then got super annoyed and huffed and puffed, like I'm wasting his time. I said "I need more numbing medicine and can you to wait til it works. So while he gives me more medicine he is scolding me the whole time on how long this is gonna take and if he "can't do this I'm gonna have to cancel and reschedule" then he walks out the room, like he gave me a mic drop moment as to say "hold that". At this point I just wanted to leave. He was also nasty and condescending to his assistant. She, however, was very nice and tried to make the entire ordeal comforting for me. When she was explaining the aftercare, I just wanted to cry. I will NEVER COME BACK HERE! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU, DR. REMI? After reading reviews, I see this is a pattern with him. This inhumane behavior toward patients. I only gave 1 star because the rest of the oral surgery team is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and show humility to patients. Don't waste your time here. Run!
