This was the most disturbing and unpleasant medical experience my family has ever had. When my daughter went to Dr. McIntyre to have three of her wisdom teeth removed, he didn't seem to know which teeth he was supposed to pull and had to return to his office to look at the special CT scan we'd been asked by his office to get in advance of the procedure. We were told my daughter would be given nitrous oxide and novocaine shots for the procedure. When she emerged from the surgery, she told me that she'd had to remind him to give her the gas and that he had neglected to inject novocaine into one side of her jaw. She'd been under nitrous at the time so hadn't said anything, but the proof of his negligence was that one side of her mouth wasn't numb once we left the office, while the other side remained numb for hours. I immediately reported what had happened to the office. When we returned for our follow-up, the first and only thing Dr. McIntyre said to us was, "I gave her the shot." He then roughly and briefly looked in my daughter's mouth, told us she was healing fine, and sent us home. Luckily, there were no complications from the procedure - he did what needed to be done, but his rough, negligent treatment of my daughter was very upsetting to her. It's entirely possible that Dr. McIntyre used to be an excellent oral surgeon, but he is now in his late 70s or early 80s, and based on our experience with him, he needs to retire. I strongly urge you to find a different doctor.

Dr. McIntyre is a very talented surgeon and a great person. He removed a dental cyst from my gum. Painless and gentle procedure. 5*

I had two implants by Dr. McIntyre several years ago. They had to be removed because of his negligence. There are so many better oral surgeons around. Not much in the way of compassion either.

My son have to extract all 4 of his wisdom teeth. We have insurance issues because he has student insurance and a lot of the doctor in NY doesnt take it. I was very lucky Rosetta was very professional and was able to explain everything insurance related issues very clearly. Dr. Mclntyre is a very experienced doctor. The whole procedure took about 40 minutes. It went very smooth. My son have a little complication about a week later that one of the stitches was poking out. We were away from NY otherwise we couldve go back to the doctors office to clip it out. I really appreciate Rosetta and Dr. Mclntyre with all of their help!

A horrifying experience from start to finish. Empathy goes a long way when a patient is in pain, none was shown here. I needed an emergency extraction with subsequent implant and the lack of communication and expertise by Dr. McIntyre was astonishing. Never introduced himself or described the steps in the process. I was admonished for feeling pain and the assistant had the gall to ask for payment while I'm sitting in the procedure room preparing for the surgery. The "doctor" was unsure of what tools to use, where to use them, and used the drill 11 separate times to remove the tooth. At this point, I'm uncertain if the entire tooth was removed after reading reviews. Will go elsewhere for the implant. There are better surgeons everywhere.
