        We went here for dinner and it was like having a home cooked meal. The food was delicious, super fresh, and served with care, especially the roast chicken and mashed potatoes. Highly recommend the turmeric and lemon tea as well. Very affordable, great service, and peaceful ambiance.

        Amazing dinner menu with so much flavor and vegetarian/vegan options! My husband and I are so glad we stumbled upon Pitanga while looking for a place to have dinner in Bushwick. I guess not too many people know that they now offer dinner because we were two of only a handful of people there at 9pm. Highly recommend getting the rice and bean soul dish. The service was also excellent! Cant wait to go back.

      ORIGINS Founder Raquel Furtado’s fascination with food started early in life. A native of Pantanal in tropical Brazil, she familiarized herself with medicinal plants, herbs and super foods, many of which could be found in her backyard.Years later, after moving to New York, Raquel faced an illness and was forced to rethink wellness and nutrition entirely. She was curious to explore the powers of nature’s precious elements, and began creating recipes with ingredients that reminded her of home.
