R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home

This is a poorly managed funeral parlor. The staff was unprofessional and have no compassion for grieving family. Their not organized by any means. They do not attend to the family at all. We sat in the sanctuary and no one came to check to see if we needed anything. We were not assisted in any way. When we asked any questions, not only did we go to the office, but we were treated rudely. I had to ask where the bathroom is and had to yell excuse me to be heard over the loud talking an laughing. There was not any limousine available for family members. The hearse was not available after the funeral and we had to wait an hour and a half for one to come carry my aunt to her final resting place. When the hearse finally arrived, the men had to get out of our rented van to load the body into the hearse. This was a very difficult time made worse by Ortiz. I would not have a funeral for a roach in this place.

All I'm going to say is this, that this is the worst funeral home I'VE ever attended. The way that me and my family on how rudley, we was treated first of all. I cannot put into words without being incorrect myself. Second, what funeral home doesn't take a life insurance policy. Please someone explain this to me. Third why there wasn't a Hurst available to take my Aunt to her final resting place. Forth, the family had to place my aunt's remains in the Hurst. Keep in mind for the exception of one male, we're over 62 years of age. I've been to this place in the past during 911, and up to now I thought that my family had picked a good place. My heart is broken . If I could give them a zero I would. I'm going to end by saying SMDH. NOTE, the only person that attended to us was the lemo driver, who was called from another funeral home. Give me a break.

I want to thank Evelyn for her compassion and she made the process go so smooth. She didn't take advantage of my vulnerable state right after losing my mother and didn't try to sell me anything over the top in prices. Had she not been in the office the day I went I would not have put my mom there.
