My first contact with this guest was the day before his arrival his girlfriend Aliza Benson drove into our driveway at 8:45am demanding that I show her around the house! This was a first in the 12 years of hosting guests. I informed her that I could not let her into the house as we already were hosting guests and that was not our policy to have strangers walking around the house whilst hosting guests. She was not too happy with this but left the premises. The next time I met Aliza was at 2:30pm the following day when I came into the house and discovered she had already checked in earlier than our policy and without any notification to me! She also arrived with a dog (again no notification nor extra payment as is our policy and clearly the dog was over the 20lb limit we request!) Apparently the dog did not belong to her but she is a professional dog walker and it was in her possession to look after the weekend!). I eventually met Nathan later that evening but grunted something to me as we passed each other in the hallway (the boyfriend and the person who booked the reservation). I sent Nathan a reminder that he had not paid nor notified me of the dogs existence in the house; I received no response. The following morning I saw Aliza in the garden with the dog. I then sent Nathan a text again about the extra payment; no response. I was talking with the other guests in the lounge as they were having breakfast it was then we all realized that Nathan and Aliza were leaving the house with their bags and dog on leash! They left the main door wide open and called out to me that they were checking out and wanted a refund!" They then got into their cars and drove off! During the day they sent an email demanding a refund and I refused as I did not ask them to leave but pay the extra charge that is clearly stated in our policy. I was never disrespectful nor rude in our interactions with each other. They showed no respect nor reguard to our policy nor the security and privacy of our other guests. I really enjoy hosting and meeting other people from all walks of life and that clearly is reflected in the reviews from previous guests but I'm no fool to rude, vindictive, obnoxious and disrespectful people.
