Dr. Malafis performed my very first root canal. I had been so nervous leading up to it but not anymore. It was painless and my tooth feels so much better. I would recommend Dr. Malafis to everyone, especially anyone who fears dentists and procedures as much as I do. Also, the staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel comfortable.

Very descriptive of insurance coverage and procedural details. I've experienced professional reception, and walked put happy with the results.

(WARNING: THIS PLACE HAS OVERLY SATURATED REVIEWS, MAKE SURE YOUR DECISION IS DONE THOROUGHLY IF YOU'RE A NEWCOMER TO THIS DOCTOR AND/OR CLINIC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This review is in regards to a visit a family member of mine made. It was her first time visiting Master Dental. Hearing the positive reviews regarding Dr.Malafis and reception were two of my main focal points to why I chose to make an appointment for her to visit them. When my family member was checking-in she hadn't completely filled all the forms on the tablet which she assumed to have. The receptionist who gave the tablet simply asked if she was done and if so to give her the tablet back. She returns it and she walks back to one of the back rooms to verify the info. She returns a little later saying she didn't find anything submitted on the form and walks back again after my family member says she has. She comes back a second time saying the same thing which really doesn't solve the situation. So she goes back and then comes another receptionist. This receptionist helped her go through the whole form again explaining and making sure she was filling everything correctly and going to the next prompts. Afterwards, once the form on the tablet was summited the receptionist picked up the tablet and left. My family member waited for about two minutes and was called in to get her check-up by presumably Dr.Malafis nurse/assistant. She brings up that she'll perform some x-rays. After mentioning it my family member brings up her issue. She replied saying that's it's fine and to bring it up to Dr.Malafis. After the x-rays were done my family member brings up the issue again and she replies saying 'why haven't you told me before' in a somewhat annoyed tone. Mr.Malafis later joins in with the nurse/practitioner a little afterwards, reviews the x-rays and says that nothing was wrong and brings up her reason for coming. After mentioning the issue for the third time he proceeded to talk in Greek with the nurse. He then checks the x-ray again and notices what may have been the issue. He performs some sort of filling really quickly and then a quick cleaning. He then provides a very brief closing remark, talks in Greek with the nurse again and discharges her. Before leaving the second receptionist asked how the appointment went and then asked if she wanted a follow up and that was it. Overall: 1) Reception: - The first receptionist (Greek probably) failed to provide adequate customer service without explaining what the problem. I described her as the give and take person. - The second receptionist (Southern Asian or Islander) was patient and helped my family member go through the check-in/check-out process smoothly. First Receptionist < Second Receptionist 2) Nurse: - Fails to pay attention to patient when bringing up issue and reason for coming - Doesn't communicate in English when discussing the situation with Doctor when they clearly can both speak it—Censoring Info - Fails to bring up issue to Doctor 3) Doctor: - Doesn't access X-ray's properly - Quickly performs an unclear procedure - Doesn't communicate in English when discussing the situation with Nurse when they clearly can both speak it—Censoring Info 4) Office and Procedure Room: - Both rooms were spotless - Equipment was organized and new 5) Will we consider coming back for a follow-up? - No, I agree and I agree with Denise's review too. We'll be looking elsewhere as my family member's treatment was rushed and neglected. 👎👎
