Ive stayed at this hotel two times (2 years apart), both times to help a dear friend who needed to be in the hospital.
The hotel was exactly the same both times.
Id best describe the hotel as serviceable . Its directly attached to the Albany Medical Center, so its very convenient for that purpose. Parking is free and easy to use. The staff are very nice.
The rooms are adequate. The actual housekeeping was very good. But the place is seriously run down. Stains/hand prints on the door frames. Stains on the furniture.
The good thing about the restaurant is that its open from breakfast from 6am to 10am which is awesomely convenient. The bad thing about the restaurant is that the breakfast buffet was not good. So, instead of the buffet order something cooked to order I would advise avoiding the eggs on the buffet ugh! The server was definitely energetic and pleasant.
So good people. Adequate rooms. Run down and kind of grubby facility. If I had to do a single overnight, Id stay there again, just because of the close proximity to AMC. But, for a longer term stay? Id personally opt for somewhere else

I've stayed in many hotels. This one is absolutely the worst. Service is horrible.
- No shampoo or shower gel for the room. They have no stock for those basic supplies.
- Elevator sounds about broken. It shakes And made some funny noises when i first Took It. So i decided to take the stairs for the rest of my stay.
- The door key is not sensitive at all, and sometimes you need to scan for many many times to get it work. (It turns Green, But the door is still locked.)
- Check out is at 12pm But start around 9.30, there are people banning on the door and try to rush you out for check out.
- View is horrible and other people can see through my room, my window was facing to the parking garage directly. I have to close the curtain all the time.
- Fire alarm went on around 7 and the front desks were laughing And joking. So they know there wasn't anything serious But still decided to evacuate the whole hotel with emergency fire alarm. And fireman did come but they found nothing suspicious. And nobody knows what triggered the fire alarm.....
There are some other minor issues
- AC is super loud.
- Breakfast is 15 dollars with extremely limited choices.
- Gym is dusted.
- TV is old and like 108p and blurry.
- takes a while for hot water to come....
Overall, worst stay ever.
