The installation team was a good crew, and that is the ONLY reason I give them 2 stars. However, I had to have my solar panels removed for a roof repair/ replacement. Something they don't tell you is they will bill the entire the time your panels are off of your roof. Mine were off my roof for 5 months because we couldn't get them to call us back to schedule the installation. After waiting on hold for more than 30 minutes at a time, we would be apologized to and told someone would be calling us back within 24 hours, yet we would call again the following week with the same scripted empty promise. After about 30 calls (no exaggeration, as I stated calling daily until someone finally called me back) I was finally able to get the panels reinstalled. To this date I STILL have not received a credit of $450 (as promised) for the months I was billed without service, and it has been almost 8 months.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. First, the panels are no protection against power outages as they need the city power grid to power the panels. Yes, you heard right, the things on the roof that run on the energy of the SUN need city electric to work. Second, Vivint has us in a 20 year contract and they provide NO SUPPORT. They won't put pigeon barriers because we're not a "new install", and they won't install a battery for power back up because we aren't a "new install." In other words, once you're in, they no longer care about supporting our needs. Oh, and they cost $100+ a month no matter what because they are very expensive. Don't let the salesmen fool you! It's a rip off.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! THEY ARE THE WORST!!! I HAVE BEEN ON A VIVINT SOLAR ROLLER COASTER FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS NOW I HAVE CALLED EMAILED TEXTED NO ONE HAS EVER REACHED OUT TO ME IT TOOK 5 MONTHS TO PUT THE PANELS ON MY ROOF AND STILL NO SOLAR. THEY JUST SIT ON MY HOUSE. IT MAKES ME ANGRY JUST TO LOOK AT THE PANELS. VIVINT SOLAR A SUNRUN COMPANY if you do business with them they will make you regret it.

STAY AWAY! STAY WELL AWAY! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! COMPANY IS BARELY FUNCTIONAL, AND HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED FOR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. The worst possible company to get solar from. Do not fall for their game. They will tout all the savings and how affordable they are, but in reality they're locking you into contracts that are well beyond their worth. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING with them. Even worse, they will make it twice as difficult to sell your home. When the time comes, the company, regardless of the type of agreement you have with them, will hold your home hostage in order to get the buyer to sign into a transfer of the contract on the home, or require a buyout. Also, should you need roof repairs, getting them to come out and remove the panels is an exercise in futility. They will charge you an arm and a leg for that service, causing homeowners to come even more out of pocket to maintain their own property.
