I saw Dr Claudia alfaro starting March 2022 until November 2022. Unfortunately I had the worst experience with a doctor in my lifetime I'm 85 years old. She started out telling me I would have to get off of a medication that I had been on for about 12 years prescribed by former doctors. She wanted me to take an anti depression medication although I told her I was not depressed due to having shingles in April 2022. I had permanent nerve damage caused by the shingles. So finally I stopped taking my medication and started on her preferred medication. She did not tell me how long it would take for her medication prescribed to take effect. It never did start working and my daughter researched and found that it could take up to six or seven weeks. During the time that I was taking the antidepressant medication I had nothing for anxiety or insomnia so I was losing sleep I was losing weight it was the worst time I had gone through in my life and when my daughter took me back for a follow-up appointment I told Dr alfaro what a nightmare it was taking that medication side effects and change my personality and everything was worse. I started losing weight while I was seeing her I weighed less each time I went to the office she never seemed concerned about that. She was a bad listener and never showed any compassion and talked down to me which I never experienced with another doctor. Fortunately I was able to find a new doctor with Presbyterian and had my first appointment on January the 11th 2023 and she was highly concerned about my abnormal weight loss and ordered a CT scan which I had two days later and found out I had lymphoma in my abdomen. It was a slow-growing cancer fortunately and I know I had it while I was seeing Dr alfaro because some of the symptoms were loss of appetite and stomach problems. So do not believe what oak Street says about their doctors listening to their patients because Dr alfaro was the worst doctor I've ever had. She was so full of herself because she was the director of medical services can you believe that?
