    I just left this branch in complete disbelief with how I was treated. I went to the branch to open a checking and savings account for my father who is new to the country. The manager asked me to wait in the waiting area in the middle of the branch. A few minutes later relationship banker MARISOL ARAIZA-SANCHEZ approached us. She started to speak to us in Spanish. I replied and explained that we wanted to open a checking and savings account for my father, sitting in front of me. She ignored me and proceeded to start asking questions that my dad couldn't answer such as What kind of an account do you want? and how much money are you putting in it? He asked her to please speak to me because he did not know how to answer and that he preferred for me to help him. He just got there 10 days ago. I proceeded to explain again that he does not know how things work here yet and that I am there to help. I told her once again "we need a savings or checking account". Midway through my sentences, she started talking to my father as if I wasn't speaking to her, she did not make eye contact with me and asked again, "What kind of an account do you need"? At this point, she was being extremely rude and she was speaking to us in Spanish. So I asked her why she kept asking him questions when he clearly couldn't answer her to which she replied "Why can't he answer, we speak the same language". At this point, I started speaking in English because I needed the people around us to understand the treatment I was receiving and how unprofessional this individual was. So I started explaining again in English what we wanted. As soon as I started speaking in English in the middle of the branch, she turned around and walked away. Leaving my father and I in disbelief about what just occurred. At that moment the manager, Steve, walked out and started apologizing to me. It was everything, the ignoring, the lack of eye contact, the eye-rolling. He had just witnessed one of his employees mistreat a person who was only trying to help her father open accounts. I asked for him to please have someone else open the accounts but he said that unfortunately, he didn't have anyone else. I was surprised to find out that a branch manager who just witnessed the whole ordeal wasn't kind enough to finally help us. I asked for the relationship banker's card and left. I have already filed a complaint with Corporate Bank of America and now I came here to write this complaint because I can't imagine the kind of treatment that this individual gives to people who do not speak English. She shouldn't have treated me this way and she should have never asked the type of questions she did in the middle of the branch to a person who needed help and who clearly couldn't answer her while blatantly ignoring one who was speaking to her respectfully and politely.
