This place is clearly not run by Starbucks corporate - the staff's lack of training can be seen from a mile away.
With 5 employees on a lazy afternoon shift in December, you'd think they'd be a well-oiled machine. Unfortunately they actively were stepping over each other and clearly didn't listen to one another.
My boyfriend ordered a peppermint mocha, no modifications. The employee said "I don't know how to make that, but I'll try"
A coworker told her "I think it's a mocha cookie crumble with peppermint syrup" and that's what he got. To be fair, it wasn't a bad drink, but it certainly wasn't a peppermint mocha.
I ordered an actual mocha cookie crumble with oat-milk and no whip (lactose intolerant). The first person to attempt to make my drink started to make it with whole milk until their coworker corrected them. They then added whip cream in the bottom and top. When she handed me my drink I told her I can't do the whip cream. She kinda just stared at me and the drink for a while before disappearing to the back.
A different staff person came out to attempt to make my drink. She was told by her coworker my correct order. She immediately poured whole milk into the cup. I corrected her, then I finally got my correct drink order.
I then asked if my warmed scone was being made. Of course not, no. So I waited for that to be done.
Overall it took way too long to be served. The staff have no idea what the drinks are, how to work together, or even how to run the register. I'm honestly surprised at how poorly run (but well-staffed) this location is.
