I have been seeing Dr Onat for the past 9 yrs. I moved 3 times in that period. I never looked for another doctor anywhere. I WILL not go to another doctor. Dr Onat is extremely good in diagnozing problems quick, recommend the most suitable approach for the patient. Highly recommend

I'd like to give an update to dr. Onat office. I'd like to thank Lou for being very attentive and kind, and also to dr Onat, for being patient and nice. Also I like the holistic view from dr Onat and the alternatives beyond the allopathic medicine.

This is the biggest disgrace of a "healthcare" office I have ever seen in my life. At my checkup, she prescribed some routine bloodwork, and I was informed by the office staff that I would only be called in for a followup if the results were abnormal. After the bloodwork, I was called told I needed to come in for a followup, because there was something abnormal in my bloodwork. When I went in, Dr. Onat tells me "everything looks good! You're 22 and healthy!" I proceeded to inform her that I was NOT healthy, as I had been having certain symptoms for a long time but was still undiagnosed. She then recommended that I see an endocrinologist for my issues. I told her that I had already been seeing a naturopath for those issues, and that he had provided me a list with some recommended followup bloodwork. I asked her if she could prescribe ONLY the tests she agreed with. She told me that there were too many tests on the list, and that if I could get my naturopath to narrow down the list, and provide explanation for why each of the tests were necessary, she would prescribe it. My naturopath cut down the list so that only about 25% of the initial tests I had asked for were remaining. He then provided me with a detailed explanation as to why each one of those tests was necessary to find the root cause of my illness. I gave this info to Dr. Onat via email (like she asked) and received no response. After a few days, I called the office to check in on it. I was told they "couldn't find" the email. I resent it. They told me they were printing it out and would put it on the desk for Dr. Onat to review later that day. When I received no call back, I called the office and was directed to a "we are out of the office for the day" voicemail, even though it was only mid-day on a weekday. I called back the following day and was told "Dr. Onat will look at it today." I called back every day (sometimes twice a day) for a week, BEGGING her to look at it. I am sick, and my symptoms are severely impacting my life, and just want these tests done so I can find out what's wrong. I kept being told "she'll call you back later today" and hearing nothing. At that point, I gave up. About two weeks passed, and I found another doctor who was happily willing to prescribe the bloodwork for me (and in this doctor's words: "this bloodwork is extremely standard, who wouldn't let you have this?") I then receive a $100 bill from Dr. Onat's office. I call the office and tell them that their billing me is unjustified, as I was initially told I would not be called in for a followup visit unless something was wrong. According to Dr. Onat at that followup visit, I was "a healthy 22 year old." Why was I called in to begin with if she was just going to tell me I was healthy? At that point, the office staff denied ever having said that they would only call if there was a problem, claiming they ALWAYS have followup appointments (which is not what I had been told). And beyond that, when I told her I was NOT in fact healthy, she told me she would prescribe the tests if I gave an explanation (which I did) and then her office proceeded to ignore my request. They then started to claim that "Dr. Onat told you at your appointment that she couldn't prescribe blood tests she knew nothing about" (again, the bloodwork was SO STANDARD, how does she know "nothing about" it? And also, I provided explanation for the tests like she had asked). I ask why they allowed me to keep calling for weeks, why they kept telling me "she'll call you back later today", if they're now acting all along like she knew she wouldn't prescribe the tests. They say they don't know. Now I have to pay this disgraceful office $100, for calling me in to tell me "you're healthy," for claiming they would help me when I told them I'm not healthy, then leading me on for weeks before telling me they were refusing to help. If you're looking for a doctor to listen to you and take your symptoms seriously, to care about you and your health... you have come to the WRONG place.
