Nancy Seabold taught my two Daughters from age 8 through HS. You will not find a more patient, uplifting yet persistant instructor. A class act who I knew once I met her, I wanted to be a constant stabilizing factor in their lives. They always left their lessons happy and with a sense of pride no matter how they entered. She slowly introduced them to sight reading and they entered HS with a big advantage. Their directors have all been impressed with how well they take musical direction. Both were leads in the Carmel HS (the top area Music Dep't) chorus. Both got high scores at NYSSMA, one with 100 and great handwritten reviews on the side. Same Daughter has just been accepted to NY's top three colleges for Music Ed thrilling her teachers who told her almost no ever one did that. She sight read for them at auditions Level 6 no problem. Thank you, Miss Nancy, for gently coaxing them to sight read years ago! Invaluable also is her ability to choose songs that consider their individual abilities and personalites that will also impress the judges. Having an audition song in German was gold as none of the other applicants did. Nancy knows her stuff! I so enjoyed the few lessons I took to sing for them at their 16/18th birthday party. Just those few lessons to correct all the crazy stuff I was doing made a world of difference. If she can help me, she can help anyone, lol.
